Kitsune are canidae humanoids with innate magic, keen senses, and high, large, triangular ears. They possess vertically slit pupils, vulpine muzzles, soft fur, bushy tails, and sharp canine teeth, though the prominence of these features varies greatly between individuals. Some Kitsune appear more humanoid with subtle vulpine traits, while others are distinctly foxlike in appearance. Every Kitsune is born with a single tail, but those who endure great hardship or attain great magical mastery may grow as many as three over the course of their lifetime. Their innate magic manifests as ethereal Will-o'-Wisps, which they conjure by brushing their tails together. Their height ranges from about 3½ feet to 6½ feet, and they live around 350 years.
