About this ancestry
No one knows for certain where the Lizardborn first came from. Some claim they were shaped by the ancient spirits of sun-scorched lands, while others believe they descend from a forgotten empire that survived by becoming colder, harder, and more patient than the world around it. The Lizardborn rarely offer clear answers. Their bodies are built for endurance and sudden violence. They conserve energy, standing motionless for long stretches with unreadable expressions, watching their surroundings until instinct takes control. When they move, it is fast and decisive. When they strike, it is not hesitation but inevitability. Lizardborn societies vary greatly. Some dwell in harsh deserts or swamps, while others integrate into cities and caravans as hunters, guards, scouts, or warriors. They value patience, direct speech, and virtues forged through survival rather than words. They are not cruel by nature, but they are deeply pragmatic. In a world of predators and prey, a Lizardborn understands exactly which role it must play.
Lizardborn
Cold-blooded, predatory survivors who wait in still patience; then strike with explosive speed.
Quick Eye Movement: A Lizardborn’s eyes never stop scanning. The smallest motion is registered and answered instinctively. When you make an Agility Reaction roll against an effect you can clearly see, you roll with Advantage.
Predator: A Lizardborn does not rush, it waits. Then it lunges. When you move from Far range to Melee range to a creature, that creature automatically suffers 1d6 damage.
