About this ancestry

Pegasi are one of three Ancestries who resemble humanoid horses. They are known for having flowing hair on their heads, and on their tails, longer faces, and glorious, feathered wings. Their ability to fly is what sets them apart from Equini, and Unicorni, as well as their affinity to the weather. They are focused, and determined, whether they are maintaining the weather, or in their personal affairs.

Pegasi have wings from birth. However, they cannot fly reliably until about 7-8 years of age. They can fly in short bursts, but oftentimes they fall out of flight because they don't know how to maintain it. They learn how to control their wings at an early age, and continue to improve, sometimes evolving into daring flight patterns. A Pegasi's wings start small, and grow until they reach maturity. They also shed feathers from time to time. An elder Pegasi might have less feathers if their shedding gets to be out of control. As Pegasi grow, and tend to the weather, they sometimes get scars, or marks, from lightning bolts, frostbite, burns, and other weather effects.
