Necromancer

Classes Designed by LedoMovuct • Art by Lieselotte Lehmann

About this class

Get a horde of minions or be a Frankenstein raising a special monster!
A necromancer wields the forbidden art of death magic, drawing power from the fragile boundary between life and the beyond, and refusing to accept Death. These practitioners command lingering spirits, animate bone and shadow, and create abominations beyond mortals’ imagination. Often mistrusted or feared, necromancers walk a perilous path—balancing their hunger for arcane secrets with the ever‑present risk of becoming what they command. Whether as brooding scholars, grim battlefield conjurers, or reluctant mediums, necromancers tap into the echoes of death to shape fate itself.

Class features

  • Soul Reaper

When a living creature dies within Close range, you can reap their soul. Gain a Soul Token. The maximum number of Soul Tokens you can hold equals your Proficiency. You can also choose to give the GM a Fear to get a Soul Token. You can use the essence contained in the Token to create an undead creature who stays with you until it is defeated or dismissed and obeys your commands. Make a Spellcast roll to command it to take action, using the result to determine the outcome. The type of undead creature is determined by your subclass.

  • Speak with the Dead

if you have a recently deceased corpse or you are in an area with a strong connection to the afterlife, you can speak to the spirits of the dead with a Knowledge roll (12). On a success, they'll give you the information they know. On a roll with Fear, their knowledge might be limited or come at a cost. Creatures you or your allies killed refuse to speak to you.

Class items

  • A bone of the first dead you awoke.
  • A forbidden scroll you are trying to decipher.
