Grave Shepherd • Flesh Sculptor

About these subclasses

A necromancer wields the forbidden art of death magic, drawing power from the fragile boundary between life and the beyond, and refusing to accept Death. These practitioners command lingering spirits, animate bone and shadow, and create abominations beyond mortals’ imagination. Often mistrusted or feared, necromancers walk a perilous path—balancing their hunger for arcane secrets with the ever‑present risk of becoming what they command. Whether as brooding scholars, grim battlefield conjurers, or reluctant mediums, necromancers tap into the echoes of death to shape fate itself.

Spellcast Trait: Knowledge

Raise a horde of undead to serve you

Foundation

Rise My Pretties: Spend a Soul Token to summon a number of Undead Minions equal to your level+1. They have 1 Hit Point and 1 Stress slot and are defeated if they take any damage. Their Difficulty equals 9+your level.

Minion: For every 4+Level damage they receive, another Minion within range of the attack is defeated.

Group attack: Make a Spellcast Roll for all Minions within Close range of a target. On a success, they move into Melee range of the target and each deal physical damage equal to your level+1. Combine this damage.

You can control a number of Minions of up to your level+1. Minions stay with you until they are defeated or you dismiss them.

Specialization

Over Their Dead Bodies: When you or an ally within Very Close range of your Minions would take damage, you can mark a Stress to have your Minions stand in the way and be the target of the attack instead.

Mastery

Danse Macabre: When summoning Undead Minions, spend a Hope to add one of the following traits to your minions:

  • Archers: the attacks of your Minions have a range of Far.

  • Spirits: your minions fly and can traverse any physical terrain.

  • Hulks: double the amount of damage that needs to be dealt for another Minion to be defeated.

  • Doombringers: adversaries Mark a Stress when they take damage from your Minions.
