Named NPCs and player characters cannot die in this encounter. If the player characters marks their last HP, they retain use of Death Moves - but their characters do not die, even if they fail a "Risk It All" or use the "Blaze of Glory" Death Moves, instead only falling unconscious. Players who choose to "Avoid Death" remain conscious, but must remove themselves from the fight, becoming a spectator.

If a named NPC marks their last HP, they are removed from the combat encounter, but like-wise do not die.

Upon encounter completion, whether players are victorious or defeated, all participants heal to full and reset all spent abilities.
