  • Moving Forward

Pushing through the storm uses a Progressive Countdown (12); it ticks down according to the following criteria when the PCs make an action roll to move:
    Critical Success: ticks down 3
Success with hope: ticks down 2
Success with Fear: ticks down 1
    Failure with Hope: no advancement
Failure with Fear: tick up 1

When the countdown triggers, the party makes it through the storm

    Questions
    • Are you afraid of being lost?
  • Anchor Shrubs

Certain shrubs have deep roots and can be grabbed to anchor or move forward. If the PC using the shrubs fails an action roll to move, they can mark a stress instead of ticking the countdown up.

    Questions
    • How deep are these roots?

Actions

action
  • Fall and Tumble

Spend a Fear to have the PC's handhold or footing fail, causing them to be blown in the direction of the wind. If they aren't saved on the next action, they roll out of sight of the others; tick up the countdown by 1, and they take 1d8 physical damage if the countdown is between 8 and 12, 2d8 between 4 and 7, and 3d8 at 3 or lower.

    Questions
    • Have you ever been lost before?
    • Where did they go?
