About this environment

The hum you’ve lived with for years just turned into a scream. The floorboards are vibrating so hard your teeth ache. Captain Brooke is on the comms, voice cracking: ‘Engine room! If you don’t bypass that core in three minutes, I’m venting the bay to save the bridge!'”
