Features

Passives

passive
  • Biting Cold

This part of Ansalon is blanketed by a bitter winter. Anytime a player takes the spotlight while exposed to the elements [Not inside of a shelter] must make a Strength reaction roll. If successful they may continue as normal. If they fail they must mark a stress. Failure with fear results in having to mark [2] stress.

  • Treacherous Ground

The deep snow and unstable ground make swift movement dangerous. A PC attempting to move more than Close distance in one turn must succeed on a Finesse Reaction Roll (17). On a failure, they become Impaired until they clear a Stress.

Actions

action
  • Lingering Sorrow
    Fear 1

Spend a Fear to have the village's dark history and pervasive sorrow weigh on a PC. They must succeed on an Instinct Roll (17). On a failure, they become Vulnerable until they clear a Stress.

  • The Hidden Cairn

A pair of large stone caskets marks the location of the entrance to a tomb beneath the snowy, frozen ground. A PC can make a Strength Roll (17) to attempt to move the caskets or a Knowledge Roll (17) to discover the hidden trigger to the entrance.

Reactions

  • Clawed Ambush

When a PC rolls a failure with Fear on any action roll, you can mark a Stress to highlight the mysterious clawed footprints nearby. A Roaming Winter Wolf appears at Close range of the PC, or if the Frost Wyvern is not yet defeated, you can use the Wyvern's "Overhead Ambush" tactic.
