Countdown (Loop d8) At the beginning of the scene start the countdown. When it triggers fire and smoke rain down upon the PCs. Each PC must make an Agility Reaction Roll. Targets who fail take 2d12+3 physical damage. Targets who succeed must mark a Stress or take half damage. Gain a fear for each Stress marked this way.

Spend 2 fear to have a calamity occur. For each calamity activate a Progress Countdown (1d8) and Consequence Countdown (1d8). When the PCs prevent a calamity they distribute Hope equal to the starting value of the consequence countdown. When the calamity occurs the GM gains Fear equal to the start value of the progress countdown.

An orphanage catches fire, find a way to rescue the wee little bairns.

A beloved NPC is missing and their family is terrified. Find them before tragedy does.

The wake of the DragonFear 1
Spend any amount of Fear to summon an equivalent number of adversaries that have followed the Dragon to this place of carnage. They appear at far range and can be spotlighted immediately.

The Dragon DescendsFear 3
Spend 3 fear Describe the dragon's inexorable actions as it descends upon the city. Highlight the PCs successes and failures.
Each character must make a Presence Reaction Roll. On a failure they lose a hope and mark a stress.
Each PC gains an experience related to this event. Once per a scene that is related to this particular dragon they can use this experience without paying a hope.

When the party succeeds at preventing a calamity spend a Fear to engulf all PCs in ash and soot. They must make a Strength Reaction Roll or become temporarily Vulnerable. They clear this condition when they clear a stress.
