Features

Passives

passive
  • Search Parties

You must roll a Group Stealth Check while navigating the city to avoid being spotted. If spotted, roll 1d4 to determine what encounter takes place.

    Possible Encounters:

    1. Fake Baby

    2. Death from Above

    3. Preachers Innocents

    4. Crowded Streets

    Questions
    • Who do you know that is in the search party? Can you bring yourself to hurt them?

Actions

action
  • Double Crossed
    Fear 1

If the party decides to depend on a friendly NPC (Who wasn't specified as a Syndicate Rogue's Contact), you may Spend a Fear to trigger a trap. Have the party roll 2d4 and take the lower to decide who is waiting for them in the dark.

    Questions
    • Is your friend acting strange? Why is he looking around like that?
  • They Block Your Path
    Fear 1

As the party approaches a location they wish to go to, you may Spend a Fear to have a group of adversaries appear in their path. Have the party roll 1d4 to determine who blocks the way between them and their destination. If the party failed their original Stealth Check to traverse the city, you may use the Ambushed Environment as the adversaries spring from the dark to attack when the party steps out into the open.

    Questions
    • How did they know we were coming? Have they been watching us since before the bounty on our heads?
  • On Our Trails

Spend a Fear and start a d8 Countdown as a group of adversaries begins to track the party's movements (Encounter 4. Reflavor enemies if the encounter was already used.) When the Countdown reaches 0, the adversaries find the party, and an encounter is triggered at whatever location the party is currently in.

    Questions
    • How did they find us?
  • Temptation

Spend a Fear to have a member of the party notice a useful item, resource, NPC, or other valuable that they would be drawn toward. The item is in the midst of a group of adversaries from the encounter table.

    Questions
    • What is that in the distance? Is it worth the risk?

About this environment

The encounters for this Environment were specifically for my game. I suggest creating your own Encounters for the table to thematically fit your game and world.
