  • Last-ditch outfitter

If the warden activates Don't Go Unprepared then the Base Camp Outfitters will become open and available. Players will be able to buy a mountaineering pack here which will allow them to have tools and rations for the climb. The outfitter will charge 3 handfuls of gold per pack. The players will be able to bargain them down to 2 handfuls of gold per pack by making a group check against the environment difficulty.

    Questions
    • You are directed to a tent with a sign that reads "outfitters" over the portal. Inside, a gruff looking Imperial Scout is working through the contents of a large backpack. Several idental packs are stacked against the back wall of the tent. How do you approach this situation?
  • Reinforcements

If the players attempt to steal packs from the Outfitter and fail an applicable skill check the sub-warden will call for reinforcements. The other four Imperial Scouts in the base camp and the Base Camp Warden will arrive at far range. If players succeed with fear they will get away with the theft of that pack but the sub-warden will become aware of something being wrong. Any subsequent attempts to steal will be at disadvantage.
