Twisting Trails
The harsh winter and heavy rains of spring have washed away almost all the traces of the right path to take. Start a countdown timer at 6 for the PC's to traverse these mountain paths. One member should helm each part of the journey. The PC makes an Instinct or Knowledge Roll (14) to determine the right path. Once the countdown timer reaches 0 the party has safely made their way to their destination.
Crit: Reduce the countdown by 2.
Success with Hope: Reduce the countdown timer by 1.
Success with Fear: Reduce the countdown timer by 1 the PC marks a stress.
Failure with Hope: No change in the countdown timer, the party encounters one or more of the potential adversaries or experiences an Avalanche.
Failure with Fear: The party becomes lost Add 1 to the countdown timer, and all PC's mark a stress as they lose time and patience and must backtrack.
Questions- What to you do to chose the right path up the mountain?
- What signs are you seeing that make you think you may be going the wrong way?
Actions

Loose ShaleFear 1
As you are making your way past a steep rise a large section of the shale and stones you are crossing over begins to slip and slide down the path.
Spend a Fear to have the PC's make an Agility Reaction Roll (14). On a success the PC catches themselves before falling down. On a failure they loose their balance and fall back down the path taking 1d4 damage and having to Mark a Stress.
Questions- What do you do to catch your balance as the stones slide beneath your feet?
- How do you stop yourself as you tumble back down the pass?

Spend a Fear to cause an avalanche of stones and earth. All PCs in its path must succeed on an Agility or Strength Reaction Roll or be bowled over and carried down the mountain. A PC using rope, pitons, or other climbing gear gains advantage on this roll. Targets who fail are knocked down the mountain to Far range, take 2d20 physical damage, and must mark a Stress. Targets who succeed must mark a Stress.
Questions- How do you weather the stones looking to crush you on this treacherous mountain pass?
