  • Rearranging paths

    The forrest traps the PCs that enter it until a suitable offering is given. The more they stay in the forest the more it consumes them untill they become lost forever. Start a Countdown (12) that ticks down according to the following criteria:
    - The party delays (rests or makes unnecessary long actions): Tick down 4
    - They disrespect the land: Tick down 3
    - They argue loudly: Tick down 2
    - They force their way out: Tick down 1
    The more the countdown progresses, the PC experience a fog thickening around them. Once the countdown reaches 0, the players become forever lost in the fog.

  • Forcing the way out

    Whenever the PCs try to excape by any means other than giving the forest an offering, thay are considered trying to force their way out. Roll a suitable attribute check agaist a difficulty (14) and give them an appropriate result:
    Success with hope: Reveal an hint about the forest requiring an offering to let them out (i.e. give them the berserker encounter)
    Success with fear: The PCs succed at what they are trying to do, yet they dont seem to make progress in escaping the forest
    Failure with Hope: Mark a stress for all PCs
    Failure with Fear: Mark two stress for all PCs

  • Fae spirits

    Spend a Fear: The spirits of the forest prank the players, trying to provoke them and throw them deeper into the forest.

  • Encounter with a berserker

    The PCs can succeed on a roll to find the exit with hope, or pay one hope per PC to encounter a berserker. The berserker is still young and just defeated his first dire bear in hand to hand combat. He is wounded and fully stressed, but cant enter a berserker rage. He can offer the PCs insights on how they can escape the forest
