Environment overview

A brawl between old enemies leaves a wake of destruction that a captive audience must deal with.

A pair of Tier 3 Adversaries

Features

Passives

  • Fight to the end

Dynamic Countdown (5) Assign a countdown to each of the Rival Adversaries, one being Progress and the other Consequence. These countdowns represent the flow of battle instead of having to activate the adversaries. Whenever the countdowns tick down, that Rival Adversary marks HP equal to the amount of ticks that occurred for its assigned countdown. If a countdown reaches zero, that Rival Adversary is defeated. If a Rival Adversary marks its last HP before the countdown ends, their assigned countdown immediately ticks to zero. Once a countdown has reached zero, this Event ends.

  • Between you and me

The Rival Adversaries in this environment are only concerned with each other and will focus their attacks accordingly. Outside interference from the PCs will be taken into account only after the duel is over. If the PCs join into the attack, the winning Adversary may not take kindly to any interference, even if it was beneficial.

    Fear 2

Spend 2 Fear to have one of the Rival Adversaries shove or throw an unexpecting PC within Close range at the other Rival Adversary. The PC marks a Stress and is shoved or thrown up to Close range at the opposing Rival Adversary. This triggers the Any time, any place reaction.

Reactions

  • Any time, any place

The brawl moves around the area and causes damage to any objects, barriers, or creatures that are in its way. PCs that get within Very Close range of either of the Rival Adversaries must make an Agility Reaction Roll (15) to avoid taking full damage from a stray attack. If the PC succeeds, they take 2d6+4 damage. If the PC fails, they take 2d10+5 damage and are knocked down.
