The Sanctum RemembersFear 1
When a character disturbs an object of significance, a faint shimmer of magic ripples across the room. GM may reveal a memory echo, a whispered phrase, or a fleeting illusion tied to the Archivist's past.
About this environment
The air is still, warmer than the library outside — as if the room itself is holding its breath. The walls are lined floor-to-ceiling with shelves, each meticulously arranged. A curved dais rises at one end, supporting a theatre-style desk with a commanding view of the seating area below. The Sanctum feels observant. Not alive like the library — but aware, as though the Archivist’s presence lingers in the arrangement of every object.
The Theater Desk: A raised platform with a sweeping view of the room. The desk is heavy, old, and reinforced with subtle enchantments. Drawers with hidden false bottoms.
The Shelves behind the Desk: These shelves hold the Archivist’s personal collection — annotated tomes, banned manuscripts, and research journals. The molding along the top is ornate, carved with repeating geometric sigils.
The Seating Area: Six rows of curved benches face the dais, like a miniature lecture hall. One row of books on the far wall is a façade — decorative spines hiding a recess.
