These magical earpieces are created using decayed Fungril Network roots. While they may not work for their original purpose anymore, they now function as a short range, closed network, communication devices. A PC can spend a Hope to send a short message to any, or all, of the other earwigs that are part of its network and within Very Far range. The recipient cannot reply to the message unless they also Spend a Hope to activate their Earwig. If a PC does not have any Hope to spend on this feature, they may Mark a Stress instead.
