Most Druids seek balance. Dark Druids seek retribution. They are predators of the natural world, stalking those who exploit forests, poison rivers, or destroy sacred places. Where other Druids offer warnings, Dark Druids offer consequences.

Spell trait: Instinct

When nature cries its tears are poison.

Foundation
Tier 1
Heightened Poison:
  1. Roll 2 poison damage dies and take the higher roll, then add your instinct modifier.

  2. Instead of dealing damage, player can choose to have the poisoned creature take a stress on each of their turns.

Specialization
Tier 2

Potent Poison: Your poison has increase in potency. While poisoned your targets are under the following effects:

  1. Movement speed reduced by 1.

  2. Temporary made vulnerable.

Mastery
Tier 3
Nature’s wrath:
  1. Spend a second stress when selecting any beast form to provide it with a venomous attack.

  2. Once per session. On a successful venomous attack with fear, add the result of the fear die to the poison damage each round.

Spell trait: Instinct

The Druid stalks his prey just waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

Mark of Retribution:
  1. Spend 1 Hope to place the Mark of Retribution on a target (can only have 1 mark active at a time). All successful attacks on the marked increases by 1D6 per tier.

  2. Advantage on all Agility and Finesse rolls made while stalking your prey.

Specialization
Tier 2
Nature’s fangs:
  1. The first successful strike on a marked target in a scene does double damage.

  2. Following a successful attack, spend two Hope to make the target temporarily vulnerable.

Mastery
Tier 3

Apex Predator: Once per session, when you fail an attack roll you can spend one Hope to succeed instead.

When a combatant with the Mark of Retribution dies, the Mark can then be moved to one of their allies without expending a Hope.
