About these subclasses

Art by Reparatus Art.

I tried to make a Guardian that’s movement focused by stealing the Ranger Companion.
The Beezilisk and you are designed to … bee … wherever you are needed and protect each other and the party.

Hive Warden

Hive Warden

Spell trait: Strength

You formed a bond with one of the fierce protectors of a Beezilisk Hive. These giant protectors are born in times of need, but now that the danger to their family is over it has joined you on your adventures.

Foundation
Tier 1

Companion: You have the Beezilisk by your side. It stays with you unless you tell them otherwise.

Take the Ranger Companion sheet. When you level up your character, choose a level-up option for your Beezilisk from this sheet as well.

Unlike the Ranger Companion the Beezilisk's attack range can not go beyond Melee.

We swarm as One: While the Beezilisk and you are in Very Close range of each other, you don't need to succeed on an Agility Roll to move up to Far range as long as the Beezilisk and you move both.

Specialization
Tier 2

We strike as One: While the Beezilisk and you are in Meele range of an Adversary, that Adversary is vulnerable to Attacks from you and the Beezilisk.

Honey Trap: You mark a Stress and make a Spellcast Roll. On a success your Beezilisk restrains all Adversary in Melee Range of it until they mark a Stress to clear the condition.

Mastery
Tier 3

We are One: Once per long rest, you can clear all Stress on the Beezilisk and fuse with it. While in this Hybrid Form the Foundation and Specialization Features are still active and you can walk on walls and ceilings unimpeded.
You gain a bonus of +3 to your Evasion and your Proficiency increases by 1.

If you would take any Damage while in Hybrid Form, mark a Stress on the Ranger Companion sheet instead of your HP. When you mark the last Stress you drop out of Hybrid Form and the Beezilisk drops out of the scene (by fleeing, hiding, or a similar action).
