Arcane Guardian

Spell trait: Knowledge

Play the Arcane Guardian if you want to charge into the Frey and use magic defensively

Foundation
Tier 1

Potent Wards: Increase your Powerful Wards buff to double your Proficiency.

Magical Defences: Once per session, you may spend any number of spell charges to repair an equal number of armour slots.

Specialization
Tier 2

Mystic Vitality: Gain +1 permanent HP

Mystic Guard: When an ally within close range is damaged by an attack, you may spend a Hope grant them your powerful wards feature bonus.

Mastery
Tier 3

Arcane Retribution: After taking damage, you may spend a Hope in order to make an attack roll against your attacker no matter the range.

Spell trait: Knowledge

Play Arcane Striker if you want to blast foes apart from a distance

Elemental Attack: When you make an attack using spell charges, you may mark  a stress to choose one of the following effects to also apply to the attack.

  1. Frozen: The target becomes restrained until they make a Strength Roll (12)
  2. Fire: The attack deals an extra 1d8 damage
  3. Lightning: the attack targets up to 2 extra targets within close range of the first.

Blink Strike: After making an attack, you may mark  a stress to teleport to any location within close range.

Mastery
Tier 3

Piercing Strike: When you make and attack, you may spend a Hope to gain a +2 to the attack, and deal an extra 1d10 Damage on the attack.
