Duelist

Duelist

Spell trait: Presence

Play the Duelist if you wanna use your poise and social acumen to walk in high society and compete in noble duels. Art by David Palumbo

Foundation
Tier 1

In The Right Circles: Whenever you meet a new NPC for the first time, you may Mark a Stress to say you have a friend in common. You may ask one question about the NPC without making a roll, and have advantage on non-attack Presence rolls against the NPC for the rest of the scene

Taunting Tongue: Whenever you hit an adversary with an attack, you may spend a Hope to make them become temporarily Insulted. Insulted creatures cannot make action rolls that do not target you.

Specialization
Tier 2

Regal Bearing: When you succeed with Hope on a Presence Roll, you can remove a Fear from the GM’s Fear pool instead of gaining Hope.

Weaving Duelist: Your Evasion increases by +1 against Insulted creatures.

Mastery
Tier 3

Decisive Strike: Once per Session, when you make an Insulted creature mark one or more hit points, you may spend any number of Hope. If you do, they mark a number of additional Hit Points equal to the Hope spent.

Outlaw

Outlaw

Spell trait: Presence

Play the Outlaw to play the daring vigilante, the robber of the rich, or the dastardly pirate, shaking off the laws of society with heroic flair. Art by Paul Sc

Foundation
Tier 1

Tales of Derring Do: Once per session and whenever you critically succeed on a roll, you and each ally within Very Far range may each gain a Hope.

Force Back: Whenever you deal damage to adversary within Melee range, they must mark Stress equal to the Hit Points they marked or move back to Close range from you.

Specialization
Tier 2

Close Call: Once per rest, you may mark a Stress in place of an Armor Slot. When you do, target adversary within Close range marks Stress equal to the Hit Points you would have marked.

Rabble Rouser: You have advantage on Presence rolls to work large crowds and convince others to perform risky actions.

Mastery
Tier 3

Living Legend: Once per Session, when you would succeed on a roll but not critically succeed, you may instead choose to Critically Succeed. In addition, when you use Tales of Daring-Do, you and each ally within Very Far range may clear a Stress as well.
