Dashing Duelist
Play the Dashing Duelist if you want to expand the features of your weapon and excel in single combat.
Crossing of Swords: Once per Scene, choose an adversary in the Scene as your Opponent. While neither of you has other creatures within Melee range, you gain Advantage on attack rolls and Presence rolls against your Opponent.
Dueling Weapon: While wielding a one-handed primary weapon with no secondary weapon, you may mark a Stress to add or replace an extra feature to it while it remains your active weapon:
-
Defensive: Attack rolls against you have Disadvantage unless the attacker marks a Stress.
-
Unerring: Add half your Proficiency to your attack rolls.
Let's Dance: When you succeed with an attack against your Opponent, you can spend a Hope to press with the attack and move both of you within Very Close range.
Master of the Blade: Your Dueling Weapon can have 2 extra features at the same time. Moreover, you can choose the features below:
-
Favored: Add the trait of your choice to your damage roll.
-
Flourish: When you inflict Severe damage to a creature, all adversaries within Very Close range must mark a Stress.
Apex Duelcraft: Your Dueling Weapon can have 3 extra features at the same time. Moreover you can choose the features below: Protective: When you take damage, you can mark any number of Stress to reduce it by the same number of thresholds. If you do so, you can also mark armor slots as normal. Keen: when you gain advantage for an attack that doesn't come from the help of an ally, you roll a d10 instead of a d6.
