Had this with me for a while, but I finally put enough effort to release it as a product.
This PDF has 9 new homebrew subclasses, all of them designed to suit an Age of Umbra campaign. However, I was careful to doesn't dive in too deep on this campaign frame exclusive mechanics, so all subclasses' themes and features are fully suited for any other campaign. I hope you enjoy it as much as my players do.
Here's the subclass list and concept:
- Bard Spirit Whisperer: A fortune teller who can predict the future and read it's oponents
- Druid Warden of Corruption: A druid that consumes life instead of protecting it, and transform into monstrous beings
- Guardian Soul-Blighted: A half alive, half dead juggernaut
- Ranger Urban Explorer: A ranger specially suited for exploring constructed environments, like a concrete jungle
- Rogue Smuggler: A reliable infiltrator that uses objects and connections to conquer it's objectives
- Seraph Firekeeper: A faithfull cleric that believes in the power of fire and light to help others
- Sorcerer Umbra Origin: A corrupted soul that thrives in dark times and places
- Warrior Call of the Sentinel: A last stand against evil trespasser, holding the line to protect those important to them.
- Wizard School of Light: A scholar well suited to weaponize light against the powers of darkness.
The biggest struggle I faced on this product was to manage to make 9 different subclasses not only themed for this framework, but the powers of them must feel conected to their individual purpose. You won't find a repetition of "spend a hope to gain advantage" or "Put a token on this card" mechanics. All of them feel unique and thematic.
*This version of the PDF still doesn't have the authoral arts, so it's not complete with the subclasses' cards. I intend to use the reveneu of this product to pay for improving it (and to launch new products that are already in development). This is why it is v1, and that's why it is on sale. Whenever I lauch the v2, with all arts and cards, this discount option will be removed from the platform.
