A Tier 1 & 2 adventure module for Daggerheart, plunging players into a vampire-haunted tale of revelry turned to terror.
Beneath chandeliers and velvet masks, a vampire noble transforms a night of elegance into a desperate hunt from a panicked ballroom, to a living manour that feeds on screams, and finally to a forest glade under a blood red moon, where an ancient hunger stirs beyond the veil. This directed module spans three escalating scenarios: Masquerade Macabre, The Midnight Manor, and Blood on the Moon. Each scenario assumes a rested party of four with flexible scaling for different group sizes, with built-in level-ups and rewards.
New Mechanics
Included are four brand new additions to Daggerheart in this adventure module:
- Guided Story: the guided story blends the open framework of Daggerheart with a more directional story inspired by the campaigns of Arkham Horror LCG, creating a specially crafted adventure with unique mechanics that give the adventure depth but still provide the GM ample material
- The Almanac: a collection of numbered entries for the GM which expand upon certain NPCs, locations, or events in each scenario
- Roleplaying Challenges: like environments, but for roleplaying scenes where the PCs can achieve specific goals by roleplaying with rewards and outcomes that follow the fiction
- Scenario Resolution: a guided frame for resolving the scenario based off of how well the PCs did, including loot!
This version is actively being playtested and any purchasers will be notified of the update when playtesting and refinement is complete.
