Become a real-life wizard!
This supplement presents a narrative system to design your own magic circles, as well as the full list of Arcana spells turned into magic circles (with more to come in the future). It's designed to represent every single spell in the game, even homebrew ones, thanks to its extensive list of sigils and its simple structure, allowing it to be as extensible as your imagination will let you.
The magic circles represent the effect the spell has on the world, rather than their game mechanics, meaning that they are fully diegetic and you can create your own valid circles for the included spells! A blunt character might use simple and straight lines, while a flowery bard might prefer ornate and dense circles that look like a tapestry.
Content
- A list of standard sigils with descriptions
- A detailed explanation of the parts of a magic circle
- The basic in-world narrative rules of magic circle drawing
- Every single spell in the Arcana domain turned into a magic circle, with a description to explain how the circle works
- A folder with all Arcana magic circles as PNG images
- A folder with all Arcana magic circles as SVG graphics
- A folder with all sigils in SVG format so you can easily build your own circles
With this supplement, you'll be able to easily describe what magic circles look like in your game and make your wizards consistently use the proper technical terms to describe their art. It's very nerdy, yes, but that's what we're here for! Future updates to the supplement might include new magic circles for the other Domains.
