You wash up on a black sandy beach in the middle of an icy sea. Fog creeps around at your ankles. As you catch your breath and pick yourself up, you look up to see a dim light in the far distance: a barely visible lighthouse, almost like a dying star.
Explore the island of Drangheim and learn what happened to the small village of Varnhall and it's people. The Fractured Lighthouse is a dark tale of discovery set on a remote island in a northern sea. The module can be used to start a longer adventure with a new party, or a self-contained story. It should take three to six hours to complete and is written for three to six party members. This module is written in such a way that it can be inserted into any world.
A fully-realized story with strong characters, stakes, and a narrative twist!
- Within the module you will have all briefs on all central characters that make up Varnhall, with enough room to make them your own.
- The story starts with your players stranded on an island, having been shipwrecked. Their only hope is to re-ignite the lighthouse.
- However, not everything is as it seems, and the 'fuel' for the lighthouse is more unsettling than at first glance.
One-Shot, but could be a Two-Shot!
- This module was design for 3-6 players at Tier 1 in Daggerheart. Specifically designed to bring parties together, and to use this module as an inciting incident, or kickoff, for a larger campaign.
- Playtested to fit within a one-session game time, however feel free to extend the narrative scenes to allow your players to live in Drangheim as long as they want!
- A 'story-first' game that provides a compelling narrative, and allows you to run a game that suits your table. Want more combat? Throw in more fog-wretched wolves! More social roleplay? Have your players be a part of the Ceremony of Light!
