Product Connections
Product Connections is a feature we’ve already designed, built, and tested internally - and from a technical standpoint, it works exactly as intended.
The purpose of this system is to allow supplements to integrate directly into the platform. When you purchase a supplement, its contents - such as classes, subclasses, ancestries, equipment, and adversaries - become available across all relevant tools automatically.
For creators, this means submitting their work as a “Product Connection,” making it fully compatible platform-wide. For users, it creates a seamless experience where everything you own is instantly usable without any manual setup.
In practice, this allows you to:
- Access character options from purchased supplements immediately
- Use connected adversaries directly in tools like Encounters
- View and interact with all available content from your library in one place
We actually launched this feature briefly in January 2026. However, shortly after release, concerns were raised by marketplace creators regarding potential conflicts with the Darrington Press Community Gaming License (CGL).
The feedback suggested that Product Connections might operate in a legal gray area – particularly around how purchased content is surfaced and integrated across the platform. While the specifics remain somewhat unclear, the volume of concern led us to take a cautious approach.
As a result, we’ve temporarily paused the feature while we seek clearer guidance – ideally from Darrington Press – on what is permitted within the licensing framework.
Product Connections is not canceled. It remains one of our most promising and fully realized features, and we fully intend to bring it back once we can do so with confidence and clarity.
