Aster

Classes Designed by Valorier • Art by Midjourney

About this class

The Asters walk the very fine line between the benevolent Dream and the malevolent Nightmare. Wardens of sleep, they can enter the Reverie, the magical place where all dreams and nightmares are shaped, and tap into its essence to change the world.

As the Reverie waxes and wanes with Dreams and Nightmares, so do Asters see the brightest futures in the dimmest moments and the gloomiest tomorrows in the most shining accomplishments.

Class features

  • A piece of whimsy

You can manifest small and harmless temporary effects from the Reverie at will, for example beautiful wisps of light, frightening shapes of smoke, eerie lullabies and the unnerving sound of metal claws raking on walls.

  • Push of Dreams

Once per session, before a roll is made, you can describe how the Dream helps you or your ally succeed. When you do, the hope die is a d20 for this roll.

  • Twisted Nightmare

Once per session, before a roll is made, you can describe how the Nightmare helps you or your ally succeed. When you do, the fear die is a d20 for this roll.
