Creating campaign, being a player and joining as a character

My DM had mentioned having issues creating a campaign (something about an account) so I set out to do one myself for the group. I was able to produce it and send the link to others which seem to work. For myself, however, I cannot seem to be able to bring my own character in. I could label it as pre-made but it doesn't feel like the same thing (besides the fact that I do not know how different pre-mades are from regular players' characters). Is there a trick I am not aware of?

I do this for testing but I have two HOD accounts. I'd recommend making your PC on your other account (not the one you used to make the campaign) and then Join the campaign you made from that other account. I do this with a fake player account to view the campaign and shared public things to ensure I'm not accidentally showing the players something.
