SPELLCAST TRAIT: Knowledge
Open Vessel: During a rest, you can conduct a séance to channel echoes of the dead. Roll a number of d4s equal to your spellcasting attribute to determine which echoes you perceive. Then choose one of the rolled values to have the corresponding echo inhabit you and grant you a special advantage until you rest again:
- 1 - Soldier: +2 to your Dodge.
- 2 - Scholar: +2 to action rolls based on knowledge.
- 3 - Priest: When you clear 1 hit point, clear 2 hit points instead.
- 4 - Hunter: Attacks do 1d6 more damage.
If you roll a failure with Fear, the echo becomes restless: Mark 1 stress or the echo leaves you.
Medium
Specialization
Warden of the Echoes: You can absorb an additional echo during a séance. If you do not mark stress when you roll a failure with Fear, only one echo will leave you.
Eyes in the Beyond: Roll d6s instead of d4s to perceive echoes. You can also perceive the following echoes:
- 5 - Sailor: You cannot be Restrained or moved against your will.
- 6 - Blacksmith: Gain an additional armor slot.
Medium
Mastery
Inner Peace: Echos are no longer restless. You no longer have to mark a Stress to keep an echo with you.
Aid from Beyond: Once you have marked your last hit point, you can absorb one or both echoes instead of performing a death move. Clear 1 HP per absorbed echo. The absorbed echoes are then no longer inside you.
