Portray the charismatic leader as a Brave or bring your imagination to life as a Performer with this Daggerheart™ compatible encounter guide!
What You'll Get
Here's what you'll get when you buy this product!
The Classes
Brave
As a Brave, you advise, guide, and lead others through situations both combative and social, extending your expertise to them. Play the General if you want to guide your allies to victory through commands and tactics, or play the Suave if you want to use the strength of your personality to encourage your allies and intimidate your enemies.
Performer
As a Performer, you bolster and aid your allies—or inhibit your foes—through art, music, and other forms of expression. Play the Discourager if you want to inflict emotional wounds on your enemies to mitigate the threat they pose, or play the Encourager if you want to inspire and uplift your allies to bolster their actions.
The Domains
Counsel
Advise your allies, share the spotlight, and grant exceptional benefits.
The shared domain, Counsel, is focused on giving direct advice to allies, inspiring them through your own actions, and setting the stage for success in all fields. Cards like Rallying Strike give bonuses when you pass the spotlight while Inspiring Speech grants long-term benefits of your choice to affected allies.
Creativity
Remake the world in your image! Paint paths on walls, bring something from your imagination into existence, and turn an entire scene into a musical number.
The Creativity Domain is designed to… well, incentivize creativity. Cards from this domain allow you to take brush to canvas to create new pathways through Painted Path or use Musical Number to completely alter the feeling and nature of a scene.
Judgment
Condemn others, plan for the future, execute exceptional tactics, and punish those you deem guilty.
The final domain, Judgment, improves one’s ability to make the right call and predict the outcome. Rather than relying purely on gut instinct, this domain puts tools in your toolbox to know exactly what the right call is. Use Foresight to increase your chances of rolling a Success with Hope on a particular roll or Guilty Verdict to render an adversary Guilty and prone to your wrath.
The Items
Leader's Cutter
Improve the advantage you grant your allies while you wear this unusual, dusty hat!
A unique hat covered in dried blood and decorated by bones, this hat compels others to listen to what you have to say and follow your instructions. While wearing the hat, advantage you give to other creatures is improved!
Satyr's Lute
Send a chill down the spine of your enemies as you brandish this ruby-eyed musical instrument!
A once-cursed lute that has lost much of its power, the Satyr’s Lute has ruby eyes set into the sockets of a goat head on the instrument’s body. The lute sends a chill down the spine of those who gaze upon it, which can be enough to put someone who is already tense into a state of panic.

Commercial Use
You can use most of the content in this guide commercially. Want to publish your own version of the Brave and Performer in your book? Go ahead! Want to release my Judgment domain cards somewhere else? All yours (the content, NOT the cards, which include artwork you may not redistribute commercially).
The only requirement is that you provide appropriate attribution, which can also be found in the encounter guide under the 'Licensing' section:
Brave & Performer © by Aen, LLC.
Brave & Performer is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. More information can be found at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/.
If you create any derivative works, please share them with me! I'd love to see what you create.
Non-Commercial Use
Art (other than the domain icons), domain cards (the cards themselves, not their content), and character sheets cannot be re-sold commercially. If you wish to use them non-commercially, you must still credit the original artist and Aen, LLC. Every artist is credited in association with their artwork within the guide.
I have no issue with the inclusion of an art piece in items that will not directly generate revenue—e.g., a YouTube thumbnail—but reselling the art piece in any form is prohibited under this license, as is using it to train AI models of any kind. If you want to discuss permissions or have any questions, please feel free to contact me! I'm happy to talk about how you can use this piece for your project.
About the Creator
T. L. Bainter — About Me
My name is T. L. Bainter, and I'm delighted that you're here. I've been a writer and storyteller for as long as I can remember—which admittedly isn't that far, but is still a good chunk of time. In the early days, I stapled sheets of paper together and wrote tales in them before graduating to composition notebooks, then finally to getting a computer of my own, which led to me receiving awards for my short stories Edwin, The Ansleigh Arc, Beneath Magenta Rain, and finally Our World is Ending and I Love You. But this isn't the only kind of creativity I enjoy—I've also been a Game Master since 2019, though I got my start running both 3.5e and my own custom TTRPG system at an age as young as 8 or 9 (hard to say for sure) wherein I would draw dungeons and worlds on massive sheets of paper for my sister and neighbor to run through.
Having the opportunity to create content for TTRPGs now is outstanding for me and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to continue doing something I'm so passionate about. I've come a long way, and I hope that shows in the content here.
