About this product

A mysterious shimmer in the forest,

A dance that never ends,

A woman wearing a necklace that looks like that memory you can’t recall,

A world built on the heroic tales of long ago, eager to add yours…

Welcome to Faerie, a realm built on Story, where anything you imagine can happen and nothing will be what you expect.

“It captured the Fae vibe” – Playtester

Inside Folk & Fear volume 1, you’ll find three scenarios that you can drop into any adventure:

A Portal to Faerie

Learn the lore to solve the puzzle that will allow you to enter the Fae Realm. And if the party needs a little extra nudge? Well, my friend, employ these delightful wee Boggles to whisk away their stuff for you at no cost. Seriously, just… might want to keep an eye on your favorite d20.

A Faerie Questing Guild

Any Fae creature can, from time to time, find holes in their plots or loose threads in their narratives. It’s unfortunate, but such inconveniences bring them together around Seanachas, the Story Tree. Here, surely, your players can find someone who can point them in the direction the Story leads. (Note: this may or may not be where the PCs think they want to go…)

But what will they do when they return to find the tree wilting under the effects of a dark and spooky ritual?

A Fae Revel

No trip to Faerie would be complete without a revel! Let the Master of Revels steal the PCs away into a reverie of delight that couldn’t possibly hide any secrets. No, really, they’re actually trapped now. And they will have to figure out how to get out with their spirit intact.

“It all just worked together well and I think it flowed excellently." – Guest GM

Each scenario offers an environment, adversaries, and guidance to create an essential set piece–each could comprise an entire session or even an entire story arc!

  1. 4 environments
  2. 7 adversaries
  3. Guidance on ritual construction
  4. Drag-and-drop GM moves
  5. Story hooks
  6. “Fae Nature” roleplay recommendations for adversaries

“We loved that the NPCs fought with us, too!” – Playtester

“The Puckish and Grim moves are AMAZING, I was constantly using them when in doubt.” – Guest GM

Lot of great things to bring a Fae realm to your table. Love the Fae Nature part in the stat blocks, interesting spin on motives/tactics. LONG LIVE THE BOGGLES!
