Soul Master Tactician
About this class
The Soul Master Tactician is a warrior who is connected to the world on a spiritual level. They embody what it means to be a person living on this planet, and use that to empower their journey. Through magical means, they are given an Icon, a representation of their will. These Icons usually represent heroes in stories of old. On top of their icons, they can call upon anything the world has to offer. However, Soul Master Tacticians need to be formidable on the battlefield as well, so they become proficient with weapons of the world, as well as the magic of the world. They are understanding partner, eager to form a bond with other who share their views. If they encounter someone who goes against the world, the Soul Master Tactician brings the full weight of the world to them. Literally.

Order and Chaos
At the beginning of a session, roll your Duality Dice, and record whether the result was with Hope, or with Fear. If you roll with Hope, you embody Order. Anytime another player rolls with Hope within Close range, you may clear a Stress. If you roll with Fear, you embody Chaos. Anytime another player rolls with Fear within Close range, you may gain a Hope. If you roll doubles, you may choose which one you want.

Each Soul Master Tactician has an Icon that they embody. Work with your GM to design your Icon however you see fit. Your Icon is intangible, and acts as the source of your power. Icons can differentiate in skills, but they each have a Magic Attack you may use, which is as follows:

SPELLCAST TRAIT: Presence
Potential: Whenever you make a successful attack with your Icon’s Magic Attack, the bonus from your Reliable feature increases by +1 up to your Presence trait. When you fail an attack with your Icon’s Magic Attack, it reverts back to +1.
Baton Pass: Whenever you make a successful roll with Hope, you may Mark a Stress to give the next player who rolls advantage on their roll.

Multi-Fascited: Take an additional Domain Card of your level or lower from a Domain you have access to.
Trick of the Wanderer: When you make a successful weapon attack, Spend a Hope to force the target to make a reaction roll (15). On a failure, they are temporarily vulnerable.

All-Out: Whenever you are involved in a Tag Team roll, the cost to initiate it is reduced to 2 Hope.
Wandering Magic: When you make a successful weapon attack, Mark a Stress to force the target to make a reaction roll (16). On a failure, they take additional damage equal to your Icon’s Magic Attack damage.

Mystic Recharge: Whenever you make a successful weapon attack, you may clear a Stress.
Mystic Empowerment: When you make a successful attack with your Icon’s Magic Attack, you may Mark a Stress to add an additional damage die, and discard the lowest result.

Mystic Spread: When you make an attack using your Icon’s Magic Attack, Mark a Stress to make the attack roll against a number of creatures equal to your Instinct modifier.
Trick of the Mystic: When you make a successful weapon attack, spend a Hope to force the target to make a reaction roll (15). On a failure, the target marks 1d4 Stress.

Soul of the Mystic: Gain a permanent +2 Stress slots.
Mystic Explosion: When you make a successful attack using your Icon’s Magic Attack, you may Mark a Stress to change the damage die to d20.

Power Variance: When you use your Icon’s Magic Attack, you may spend a Hope to change the damage die to d12, and the damage type to be Physical.
Imbued Power: When you make a successful weapon attack, if you’re using a Physical weapon, you deal an additional 1d4 Magic damage. If you’re using a Magical weapon, you deal an additional 1d4 Physical damage.

Power Mixture: When you use your Power Variance ability, you may spend an additional Hope to add 2d8 Magic damage to the damage roll.
Trick of the Powerful: When you make a successful weapon attack, you may spend a Hope to force the target to make a reaction roll (15). On a failure, the target subtracts your Strength modifier from their difficulty.

Drive: Gain a permanent +1 Hit Point slot.
Close In: Whenever you use your Icon’s Magic Attack within Very Close range, your Power Variance ability activates automatically.

SPELLCAST TRAIT: Presence
Guided Strike: Whenever you make a successful attack with your Icon’s Magic Attack, you may Spend a Hope to give another player within Close range a bonus to their next roll equal to your Presence modifier.
Guided Blessing: Mark a Stress to clear 1 Hit Point on a target within Very Close range.

Guiding Shield: Mark a Stress, and make a Spellcast roll (18). On a success, you may increase the Evasion of a creature within Close range by your Presence modifier. The effect lasts until the creature next rests, or you use this ability again.
Trick of the Guide: When you make a successful weapon attack, you may spend a Hope to force the target to make a reaction roll (15). On a failure, you may gain Hope, or clear Stress, equal to the amount of Hit Points the creature marks.

Guided Recovery: Whenever you make a successful attack with your Icon’s Magic Attack, you may mark a Stress to clear 1 Hit Point of all creatures of your choosing within Far range.
Guided Relief: Spend any number of Hope to clear an equal amount of Stress on a creature within Close range.

Balance : Spend 3 Hope. Until your next rest, you may benefit from both Order and Chaos.

Icon of Wandering
Play the Icon of Wandering to embolden yourself, and others, by giving you a little more versatility in exchange more a tighter focus.
