Navigate the twisting, claustrophobia-inducing tunnels of a giant centipedes lair before a deadly confrontation with the matron and their brood in this Daggerheart™ compatible encounter guide!
What You'll Get
Adversaries
The Matron
The fully-illustrated boss of this encounter is the Dire Scolopendra Matron—the mother of the brood in the lair. A Tier 2 Skulk, the Matron is designed to skuttle across the battlefield unpredictably, taking hits to their Stress in exchange for Fear as their children are slain in combat.
The Nymphs
The Matron's statblock relies heavily on the presence of their brood, the Dire Scolopendra Nymphs. These hungry, desperate larva are Tier 2 Minions who increase in strength as they feed on the flesh of both the living (through attacks) and the dead (through a special action). If they aren't slain quickly, they'll become an unstoppable swarm.
Dire Scolopendra Lair Environment
This new environment block includes cave-ins, narrowing tunels, and hatching eggs that raise the difficulty of the eventual encounter with the Matron—an effect taking place via a countdown that persists even while fighting the Matron in the Dire Scolopendra's lair.
Multiple Versions
In addition to a standard PDF, you'll receive other versions of the PDF, including a print-ready and mobile-friendly PDF.
