The Sleeping Sickness of Bear Claw Village

Bear Claw Village is the home of a small tribe of Wood Elves who live peacefully with the forest. Everyone in the village has contracted a blight plant disease called 'Shuteye' that causes its victims to fall asleep. The disease is contracted by eating blueberries from an affected blueberry bush found to the north. The blight started because the evil wizard, Kelek, dropped a powerful sleeping potion at the base of the blueberry bush, which seeped into the plant's roots and affected the blueberries. Kelek did it because he was annoyed that the Wood Elves were always laughing, singing, and living happily-so he poured his sleeping potion into the blueberry bush to make the whole village fall asleep. Kelek believes the forest should be perfect and orderly, not wild and joyful. He thinks the elves are "too noisy and chaotic," so he tried to "fix" things by putting them all to sleep. "If everyone is asleep... no one can bother me ever again." "A quiet forest is a perfect forest." The players must destroy the source of the sickness as well as find the herbs necessary to make a cure.

The Sablewood Messengers

Welcome to Daggerheart! In this quickstart adventure, you'll find the tools you need to play your first session of the game. This document does not contain every rule, so we highly recommend having the core rulebook accessible. Before you begin, you'll need 3-6 players. 2-5 of those players will be PCs, or player characters. They will create a character who will inhabit the world. One player will be the game master, or GM, who is in charge of representing the world at large, asking questions, adjudicating dice rolls, and leading the narrative. In normal play, PCs would make their own characters and the GM would build their own story. For the quickstart adventure, both portions are already prepared. We highly recommend the GM read through each page on their own before players arrive. For more information about the game, or to purchase the core rulebook, visit us at www.daggerheart.com. Aventure link: https://www.daggerheart.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Quickstart-Adventure-5-20-2025.pdf - This document features 5 pre-made characters and step-by-step instructions to guide both GMs and players through an adventure.

Use the builder to add acts, chapters, locations, characters, factions, images, and threats. Link NPCs to scenes, attach maps, and keep all your prep in one place instead of scattered documents.

Session zero ready

Adventures include session zero guidance: tone notes, lines and veils, and prompts to tie characters directly into the opening scenes.

Export, print, and share

Export Adventures to a clean, table-ready PDF layout, or keep the builder open during play to jump between scenes, locations, and NPCs.
